When is Amazon Prime Day 2025?

This is the biggest question of all: When is Prime Day 2025? Amazon has announced it will take place in mid July, but as of April 29, 2025, the online retailer is staying mum on the sale's official dates. Amazon Prime Day 2023 took place July 11-12, and Amazon Prime Day 2024 took place July 16-17, so we're betting Prime Day 2025 will fall within that window. But you never know.

Will tariffs increase prices on Prime Day?

As of April 29, 2025, Amazon has stated that it will not list import charges on its website for affected goods and products, which means we don't know for sure whether prices will increase or by how much due to the U.S. tariffs being levied on countries like China. According to Reuters, "Some third-party merchants who previously sold China-made goods during Amazon's premier July Prime Day shopping event are sitting it out this year or reducing the amount of discounted merchandise they offer."

Based on this, we can assume that discounted prices on goods from China will not be as abundant as in previous years.

What is Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is a semiannual shopping event exclusive to Amazon Prime members. You’ll find lightning deals—those are ones with a limited quantity available—on some of our favorite Amazon products. Overall, the sale features deals on electronics, beauty products, clothing, and so much more.

How long is Amazon Prime Day?

Since 2015, Prime Day has lasted 48 hours, but Amazon has not confirmed the exact window for Prime Day 2025. There are rumors that it will be extended beyond two days for 2025—after all, 2025 marks Prime Day's 10th anniversary.

What time do Prime Day deals start on Day 1?

Some of last year's Prime Day deals started well before the actual sale got underway—like days before—so keep your eyes peeled for early savings. However, the sale officially starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Prime Day's first day.

When does Prime Day end?

As we've stated, Amazon Prime Day traditionally lasts for 48 hours. Since Amazon has not yet released a starting date or time, we don't have an ending time.

One of our best shopping tips: Don't drop out early! Amazon often lists the best offers late and runs them through the very last hours of the final night.
